Hello, my name is Blake Hartsfield. My fiancée and I recently relocated to the Florida Keys. She was born and raised in Tavernier, Florida, while I grew up in San Angelo, Texas. Our move represents both a return home for her and an exciting new chapter for us together.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt drawn to the coast. There’s something about being near the water that feels like home to me, and the Keys have truly solidified that feeling. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active and exploring the outdoors through biking, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and hunting, while also balancing that with my passion for gaming and discovering new technologies and how they impact our everyday lives.

That mix of outdoor living and technology-driven curiosity strongly influences both my personal life and the way I approach my work, practical, adaptable, and always evolving.
My Story
I’m the owner and founder of Florida Keys Technology Services, bringing a unique blend of technical expertise, real-world business experience, and local knowledge to the Florida Keys.

I grew up in West Texas and studied Computer Science in college, which led me into the technology industry early in my career. I spent seven years working for a software development company, where I held a variety of roles including software development, on-site technical support, sales, and project fulfillment. That experience gave me a well-rounded understanding of technology, from how systems are built to how they’re deployed, supported, and aligned with business needs.

After that, I spent 13 years in the oil and gas industry, working in fast-paced, high-reliability environments where downtime isn’t an option. That background reinforced the importance of dependable systems, clear communication, and solutions that actually work in the field, not just on paper.
I recently relocated to the Florida Keys with my fiancée, where I’ve combined my passion for technology with my love for the local lifestyle. In addition to running Florida Keys Technology Services, I’m also a licensed dive boat captain, which gives me a firsthand understanding of the technology needs of marine operations, small businesses, and service professionals throughout the Keys.
Florida Keys Technology Services was founded to provide reliable, straightforward IT solutions tailored to the unique challenges of living and working in a remote, coastal environment. My goal is simple: deliver honest service, practical solutions, and technology you can depend on.
